This Motor Technology PLC course allows graduates to gain an appreciation of Motor Engineering and gather experience while working with different technologies and applications associated with engineering. Graduates of this Motor Technology course can progress to Maintenance Skills for Engineering Level 6 in Galway Community College or other Higher Education Institutions to further their studies

Work experience takes place one day per week in a local garage throughout the academic year.

This course prepares students for direct entry to: Apprentice Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Service Reception, Parts Personnel, Apprentice Motor Vehicle Electrician, Motor Vehicle Sales and Third Level Education
I have found this course very useful in gaining the experience in carrying out tasks on motor cars. Students are given clear and descriptive instructions in one to one situations in all modules by all teachers. They go out of their way to ensure the students acheive their full potential.
