This course allows students the opportunity to refine and further develop their skills in the sports and fitness area. Students gain a deeper understanding of sports related topics and gain experience in dealing with a variety of groups. They learn to apply their knowledge and skills obtained at level 5
Successful students will qualify with an additional ITEC Diploma in Personal Training and gain invaluable work experience in this area.
Work experience takes place throughout the academic year in a variety of centres and enterprises offering sport and recreation activities.
There is an opportunity within the course to complete the following optional courses for an additional fee.

Child Protection and Code of Ethics

Kick Start 1 - FAI Soccer Coaching Qualification
Successful completion of a QQI Level 5 Award in Sport & Recreation Studies

Exercise & fitness level 5 in GCC was a huge stepping stone in my career as a Personal Trainer/ Fitness Instructor. I would highly recommend this course to anyone with an interest in the Health and Fitness area. The tutors are highly qualified and experienced in a range of sport related areas. I have currently progressed to level 6 in GCC and intend to achieve higher goals in the fitness industry.
