Course Outline

To provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of the principles of marketing and the skills to pursue a career in this area.


Work Experience

Work experience takes place one day per week throughout the academic year in local Marketing and PR companies.

Special Features

Regular speakers from renowned Galway companies including H&A Marketing, Mint Digital Marketing. Computer Software Microsoft Applications, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Dreamweaver, QuarkXpress.

Entry Requirements

QQI Level 4, minimum of 17 years of age at time of registration, Leaving Certificate/Leaving Certificate Applied, Equivalent qualifications from other countries, relevant life experiences, relevant work experiences and mature students.

Course Modules

This programme module aims to provide the learner with the knowledge and skills to predict human behaviour within a range of social, cultural, vocational and organisational contexts, using the concepts underpinning behavioural science
The aim of this module is to equip the learner with the understanding of the value of the customer service discipline as well as knowledge and skills to provide effective customer service within a work, social or voluntary environment, operating independently or as part of a team.
This programme module aims to provide the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to develop and execute digital marketing strategies and activities, under supervision, using a range of e-tools within a range of digital marketing contexts.
The aim of this module is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skills and competence to operate effectively in a range of marketing related contexts using the principles and concepts underpinning marketing practice.
This module aims to educate the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence in the role, functions and techniques of Public Relations within a range of contexts.
The programme module aims to provide the learner with the knowledge, skill and competence to compile, present, interpret and analyse statistical data, with some theoretical understanding of the basic statistical concepts.
Learn how to construct, test and maintain a range of webpages and sites using HTML CSS and Adobe Dreamweaver.
This programme module aims to provide a Learner with the personal knowledge, skills and capacity to participate in a suitable work placement under supervision for a limited time. It will also facilitate the learner to develop an understanding of the world of work and employment, Including the rights and responsibilities of both employer and employee.
