This Acting & Theatre Performance PLC course is designed to provide professional training to enable the student with strong acting techniques and performance skills to pursue a career in theatre, television and film, or continue to further education at third level.
The course has numerous unique features; specialised acting & vocal workshops from professional practitioners, guaranteed Acting roles in films & links with casting agencies., weekly theatre visits & guests, various public theatre performance opportunities in established professional venues such as Nuns Island Theatre & Druid Lane Theatre, Galway.
There is an opportunity within the course to complete the following optional courses awarded by the Irish Board of Speech and Drama for an additional fee. IBSD Diploma examinations provide a rigorous test of knowledge, technical expertise and interpretive skills, and are oriented to the needs of those who wish to become professional drama practitioners or who wish to teach speech, drama and communications as a career.

QQI Level 4, minimum of 17 years of age at time of registration, Leaving Certificate/Leaving Certificate Applied, Equivalent qualifications from other countries, relevant life experiences, relevant work experiences and mature students.
Entry to the course is subject to audition and interview.
Previous training in performance is not required.
Applications from mature students particularly welcome.
