I highly recommend to school leavers to consider PLC's before venturing to Level 7 and 8 courses. The time I spent in the Graphic Design course in Galway Community College are some of the happiest memories I can recall. Every aspect of the course, from the tutors, the assignments, the projects, and the friends made, were simply wonderful. I hope to go on to study Animation in IADT as a mature student. Without GCC, I fear that I would still be unsure as to what to do with my future.

Exercise & fitness level 5 in GCC was a huge stepping stone in my career as a Personal Trainer/ Fitness Instructor. I would highly recommend this course to anyone with an interest in the Health and Fitness area. The tutors are highly qualified and experienced in a range of sport related areas. I have currently progressed to level 6 in GCC and intend to achieve higher goals in the fitness industry.

The Multimedia & Web Development course at Galway Community College has awakened my curiosity, an eager quest for knowledge and a world of new opportunities in the fast growing I.T. industry. The course had a very interesting layout and a contemporary curriculum. The lecturers made sure that all modules were relevant to real workplace situations, respectively adjusting scopes of assignments and reports. With enhanced theory, practical tasks, presentations and speeches from professionals, the course is very beneficial to all students. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone planning to enter the Multimedia or I.T. industry.

Last year I completed my qqi level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education. Throughout the year I found the course very enjoyable but demanding as commitment was essential. With the support of my teachers I was able to focus and complete all of my modules receiving an overall distinction in my course. From my experience at GCC I found it great that the classes are small and you get plenty of one on one time with the tutors, they are all very approachable and extremely helpful when it comes to assignments and projects. GCC is a great place to learn, make friends and prepare for the next step in your life whether it be going onto further education within the college or moving onto University or IT or even to seek employment.
