Geography trip to Aliwee Caves

Geography JCSP students and TY students visited the Ailwee Burren Experience . Located in the heart of the Burren region perched high on its terraced mountainside, students enjoyed spectacular views of Galway Bay.

Students were given a tour of the Ailwee Caves which is a wonder to all with geology and history stretching over 330 million years. Later, students visited the Birds of Prey Centre where they witnessed some of Ireland’s and the world’s top predators. Eagles, owls, vulture and hawks all reside at Ailwee. Students were treated to flight displays and were afforded the opportunity to interact and handle the birds.

A great day was enjoyed by all!
