At 8.30 every morning we give a warm welcome to students in order to start the day on a positive note. Welcome to our breakfast club that has been running in GCC for the past 4 years. As part of our health promoting school we have sourced a healthy nutritious breakfast for all students. Hot tea and toast is the most popular during the cold, wet winter mornings. Juice, cereal bars, croissants and water are available all year round.
The breakfast club is very popular among staff and students and there is a lovely homely atmosphere in the foyer with students and teachers chatting and laughing before class in a secure comfortable setting.
As a good breakfast is imperative for personal, cognitive and social development it is very heartening to see the numbers have increased in the breakfast club over the years . We are thrilled that students go off to class happy and better able to concentrate on work.
Our breakfast club is an additional support for busy families and ensures that students are supervised and will have something to eat before school starts.
